Binder
Products began business in May of 1946 in the historic Vance Building in
downtown Seattle. The founder, Gil Houghton, ran a successful
one-man-business for 28 years before being joined by Noel Cook in 1975.
In 1975
Noel and Janet Cook purchased the company from Gil. In 1977 Jeff
Aberge joined the company as the first full time salesman and in 1981 Roger
Grossenbacher came aboard. Over the next couple of years Binder
Products expanded its sales force to five salesmen and a full time office
manager.
In May
of 1986 Binder Products moved to its current location near the Seattle Space
Needle and Monorail. The new expanded location allowed Binder Products
to stock the largest inventory of plastic combs, double loop wire and coil
in the northwest. These products, combined with a wide selection of covers
and machines, make Binder Products Seattleās one-stop-shop for mechanical
binding needs.
Over the past 30 years major northwest companies such as Boeing, Microsoft,
Musak, Safeco and Weyerhaeuser have come to depend on Binder Products for
custom presentation material.
